Father Carpenter isn’t just your run-of-the-mill coffee bar, it’s a cosy lunch spot with a vision to revolutionise hospitality and gastronomy in Berlin. Their mission? To craft a positive, authentic, and unforgettable experience for every single guest who walks through their doors.
Situated on Münzstraße 21, Father Carpenter offers more than just a place to grab a quick coffee. It’s a destination where the artistry of coffee and the culinary world converge. With a modern twist on coffee and coffee roasting, Father Carpenter embodies a ‘romantic and puritan’ approach. They believe that coffee should go beyond mere refreshment; it should be an art form. Bright, sweet, and clean are not just words, but the minimum standard they hold themselves to.

During lunch, I enjoyed a delicious avocado, roasted cherry tomato, pesto, and sourdough toast with a poached egg. The toast was great, bursting with flavour, but it’s a bit pricy in my opinion. I also had a latte with oat milk.
Fun fact
If you don’t know exactly where it is, you might find yourself searching for a while. I walked past it twice myself, as it’s tucked away in a courtyard amidst Berlin’s busy shopping streets. The spot is incredibly quiet, making it perfect for unwinding during a shopping trip.
