Nénu Brussels

Nénu is a cosy Vietnamese restaurant in Saint-Gillis in Brussels. At nénu, small Vietnamese dishes with a modern twist are shared with friends and family whilst sipping a good drink in a laid-back and friendly manner.

Experience the concept of «an nhau» the Vietnamese style drinking and eating culture, sharing small and larger plates with friends & family, eating with a bowl and chopsticks.

Nénu is a family story and is a nod to his older brother, Le Nénuphar, a Vietnamese restaurant opened in 1982 in Woluwé-Saint-Lambert by the father of Tutu Pham, owner and executive chef of Nénu.  Nu also means «bud» in Vietnamese.

I loved everything at Nénu! From the rich lamb wonton with chili oil to the comforting rice pancakes and flavorful udon noodles, everything feels well balanced and full of character. Creative plates and fun cocktails make it an easy place to settle in and enjoy the evening.

It’s a family tribute with a modern twist. The restaurant was opened by Tutu Pham as a contemporary homage to his parents’ long-running Vietnamese restaurant Le Nénuphar (an institution in Brussels since the early 1980s). At Nénu, he takes traditional Vietnamese flavours and the local tradition of “anh nhau”, eating and drinking together with friends and family, and elevates it with creative, modern dishes that have gotten serious foodie attention, including recognition in the Michelin Guide.
