I had a fantastic meal at Baracca in Leuven. The linguine vongole was smooth and flavorful, and the tacos with chilli con carne, avocado, and sour cream were delicious. The porky buns and crispy dragonballz were standout dishes, full of flavour and perfectly prepared. The patatinas were a tasty, garlicky treat, and dessert, the tortino bellino with chocolate, caramel, and peanut, was a perfect sweet finish. Everything was fresh, creative, and made for a really enjoyable dining experience.

The restaurant’s concept of shared dining is inspired by the old Italian tradition where workers would gather in simple baraccas (huts) after a long day to eat, drink and tell stories together, a spirit of togetherness that still shapes how food is served and enjoyed there today.
