Manhattn’s Burgers, located on the Graslei in Ghent, was founded by two brothers united in their mission to bring the vibrant essence of New York to the world.

The purpose of the Vandermeulen Brothers is to bring out the best New York has to offer: delicious flame-grilled steak burgers, authentic & dynamic guest service in a vibrant décor.

The venue is set in a beautifully renovated old grain warehouse, creating a mix of classic architecture and urban diner vibes that pair well with its casual, welcoming atmosphere. You can watch the boats on the canal while enjoying flame-grilled burgers, fresh brioche buns and crispy Belgian fries. The menu includes a variety of hearty burgers made with quality ingredients, vegetarian options, craft beers, milkshakes and more, making it a favourite stop for both locals and visitors looking for a satisfying, flavourful meal in a vibrant setting.

The NY raclette burger was rich and indulgent, while the Harlem chicken burger was crispy, juicy, and full of flavour. The coleslaw was fresh and nicely balanced, and both the regular fries with secret sauce and the sweet potato fries with truffle mayo were perfectly cooked and addictive. A satisfying burger experience in a great location.

Fun Fact

Even though it’s a burger restaurant in the centre of the city, the building it occupies was once home to the well-known Belga Queen restaurant, and the interior still highlights the historic stone walls and wooden beams while serving New York-style flame-grilled burgers with Irish Angus beef and fresh brioche buns to diners watching the boats on the Graslei canal.
