Café Betty Antwerp

Café Betty Antwerp

Café Betty is a neighbourhood coffee bar in Oud-Berchem that opened in late summer 2025. It’s a project from the team behind Andy Roasters, one of Antwerp’s well-loved speciality coffee spots, and was created in the former Café Het Been with a full renovation and a warm, character-filled interior. The focus here goes beyond just great coffee: you’ll find speciality brews, a curated selection of natural wines and house-made sourdough pastries baked locally, blending everyday comfort with thoughtful flavours.

The vibe at Café Betty is relaxed and inviting, perfect for lingering over a cappuccino in the morning or switching to a glass of wine on Friday and Saturday evenings. Locals appreciate the friendly, cosy atmosphere and the way the space honours its past. The name “Betty” pays tribute to the original owner of the café that stood here before. It’s become a go-to neighbourhood stop for good coffee, good conversation and a sense of community in Berchem.

Café Betty feels instantly familiar in the best way. The coffee is excellent, the sourdough pastries are fresh and comforting, and the space invites you to stay a little longer. It’s the kind of neighbourhood café that works just as well for a quiet morning coffee as for a relaxed glass of natural wine later in the day.

Café Betty’s name honours the original owner of the café that once stood in the same spot, a nod to the history of the place, even as the new team brings fresh energy with speciality coffee and natural wine.
