Opened by owner Kato Avondts, the café was designed to be a neighbourhood place with good coffee and homemade pastries. Polly sources its beans from local roaster Andy Roasters, and alongside standard espresso drinks, you’ll find creative options like the signature “polly’ke” (a coffee between a cappuccino and latte) and matcha lattes, paired with house-made treats.

I absolutely love this place. The coffee is great, and the pastries were also full of flavour! The atmosphere is relaxed and cosy, with plenty of light and a small terrace when the weather’s good, and it all adds up to a visit that feels warm rather than rushed.
Fun fact
The name Polly is actually a nod to owner Kato Avondts’ sister Paulien, the nickname “Polle” inspired the café’s name, giving it a personal connection right from the start.
