Briquet Antwerp

Briquet Antwerp

Briquet is a contemporary restaurant and bar in the Borgerhout district of Antwerp that blends casual dining with a focus on seasonal, creative cuisine. Open for lunch on weekends and dinner later in the week, the menu centres on small and sharing plates that change according to seasonal produce and local availability, with influences from Mediterranean, Belgian and other European traditions.

The kitchen often highlights fresh vegetables, seafood and quality meats prepared with thoughtful combinations and attention to presentation. Briquet also offers a broad drink menu that features natural wines by the glass or carafe, cocktails and other beverages to complement the dishes served.

The space itself mixes a relaxed, modern interior with outdoor seating on a terrace, making it suitable for both casual lunches and relaxed dinners.

Waardering: 4 uit 5.

The menu is built around seasonal sharing plates that feel thoughtful without being complicated, letting good ingredients speak for themselves. Absolutely loved every dish we got.

The name Briquet means “lighter” in French, and it was chosen to give the restaurant a nostalgic feel while also inspiring design elements like abstract, flame-like typography and a warm, inviting interior.
