The calamari with tartar sauce was crispy and tasty, and the homemade pink lemonade with raspberry and citrus and the elderflower lemonade were all super refreshing. For the main course, the chef’s pasta with bolognaise, goat cheese, and sour cream was comforting and flavorful, and the chicken wok noodles with vegetables, mushrooms, and sesame were fresh and satisfying. Great food and a nice, relaxed atmosphere.

The restaurant wasn’t just created as another eat‑and‑drink spot; its original founder, Nicolas Viaene, started his journey in hospitality after travelling the world by bicycle and working as a DJ, combining those global influences into the laid‑back cosmopolitan concept that Bar Louis is known for today.
