Oktober Café brings a slice of Scandinavian brunch culture to Antwerp’s Berchem neighbourhood, inspired by the founders’ love of Copenhagen. The bright, minimal-yet-warm interior sets the tone for a relaxed daytime meal where almost everything is made in-house. Think Danish-style breakfasts with bread, eggs, jam and cheese, smørrebrød, cinnamon buns and a range of speciality drinks.
It’s a place that feels both local and cosmopolitan, with fresh pastries every day, the bread and croissants come from popular Antwerp bakery Aldo, and friendly service that makes it easy to linger over brunch or a coffee.

Em’s star rating
Oktober Café is a great spot for a relaxed brunch. The stracciatella toast and avocado toast were delicious and well balanced, and the cinnamon roll is soft, comforting and hard to share. Add good coffee and a calm, welcoming vibe, and it’s easy to see why people keep coming back.
Fun fact
Oktober Café draws much of its inspiration from Copenhagen’s vibrant brunch culture, aiming to bring that same Scandinavian feel, bright, simple, and focused on fresh breads and easy, joyful meals, right to Antwerp.
