Spiridon is a wine bar in the vibrant South district of Antwerp. It was launched by the team behind notable local spots like Fiskebar and Fiskeskur with a clear focus on drinks and seasonal small plates. The concept places natural, biodynamic and organic wines at its core, offering everything from straightforward house pours to older and rarer bottles served by the glass. Beyond wine, you’ll also find small bites and sharing plates that lean into fermentation and other interesting techniques, giving the food direction without overwhelming the drinks.
The interior and name of the bar set it apart. The space blends exposed materials and recycled elements with features like clay-plastered walls and vintage fixtures, creating a relaxed yet distinctive atmosphere that mirrors the overarching ethos: close to nature and thoughtfully curated. Whether you’re stopping by for a glass on the terrace or exploring a more adventurous bottle from their cellar, Spiridon brings an accessible but deliberate wine-centric experience to one of Antwerp’s increasingly dynamic food and drink streets.

Em’s star rating
The focus here is on natural, often biodynamic wines you won’t find everywhere, paired with thoughtful small plates that give the menu real character. I really like this place for a drink after dinner.
Fun fact
Spiridon takes its name from a legendary Siberian hunter whose story inspired the founders’ approach to nature-led drinking and dining. The idea being to stay close to natural ingredients and traditional methods in both wine selection and small plate creation.
