
Nova Pinseria is an Italian restaurant located on Volkstraat in Antwerp, built around the concept of pinsa, a Roman-style alternative to pizza. Unlike traditional pizza dough, the pinsa dough is left to rest for around 48 hours, creating a lighter, more airy and crispy base.
The restaurant focuses on authenticity, using carefully selected ingredients sourced from Italian producers, and keeps the menu relatively small to maintain freshness and quality. The atmosphere at Nova Pinseria is cosy and intimate, making it a good fit for a relaxed lunch or dinner.

Tried Nova Pinseria and it’s a really nice change from regular pizza places. The pinsa is light and crispy, so it doesn’t feel too heavy, even if you finish the whole thing. The place itself is small and relaxed, which I liked.
Fun fact
Nova Pinseria is built around pinsa, which is still pretty unknown in places like Antwerp. The founders actually opened the restaurant with the idea of introducing this Roman speciality to people who had never heard of it before.
